Should I use STP Shielded Twisted Pair Cat5e network cable when only 20 feet of the run is outdoors?

I will have a wireless access point connected to about 100 feet of Category 5e cable, the last 20 feet of which is outdoor, with the rest traveling indoors or under the building in a unheated crawl space about 4 feet high with no floor, just sand.  There is no interference so is there any reason that I should use anything but Solid Category 5e 350Mhz Unshielded Twisted Pair cables?  There will be a POE injector inside in the first 7 feet, an Ethernet surge protector just outside, and a lightning arrestor on a separate antenna pigtail at the end out the other side of the Wireless Access Point.  Thanks in advance.

Well, one reason I can think of is that STP is more sturdy. So for a bit of extra protection against the elements you might want to consider that.

any mice, rats.. ?
Good one :)
I always use STP between the POE and ODU; the additional 20feet will not cost you an arm and leg, I would recommend that you do it from professional experience.

No mice rats or wild pigs.  We are located on a sand dune in front of the ocean.  I was thinking more along the lines of electrical or signaling advantages.  I am not experienced in grounding STP and have read that if not done properly, problems that aren't there can be created.  But if there is enough of an advantage to using it I will educate myself.  I have posed a separate question regarding the lightning risk to the wire but I still can't find a good reason to implement its use.  The questions regarding the grounding of all my components is holding me up, therefore the STP option to not use it was attractive to me.  Thanks, as alwasy.
