Access 2000 - Converting text field to date format

Dear Experts,

Can you please advise how to convert such text fields like "2011-04-12" to date format in Access?

    You are using European date format, so I am not sure in your date which is the day/month.

    Using the CDate() function will do the trick, then make sure that extracting the string in the right order, so the date you will get in return is the correct one.
