Extra space between words in IE

I see extra white space between the words "Corporate Services Banner" in Internet Explorer, and I'm not sure why. Please see the attached image, HTML snippet, and applicable CSS.

This is all in SharePoint, so I cannot edit the surrounding HTML. I can only get at the text using CSS.
<td title="Corporate Services Banner - Allows authors to enter rich text content." id="WebPartTitleWPQ3" class="ms-WPHeaderTd">
<h3 style="text-align:justify;" class="ms-standardheader ms-WPTitle">
<span>Corporate Services Banner</span>
<span id="WebPartCaptionWPQ3"></span>

    This is difficult to diagnose without a little more code. Is it possible to get a link or some parsed HTML with the style sheet?

    Accepted Solution

    I fixed it by adding "display:block" to the first child <span>, which contains the text. Weird, but works.
