Restarting A Hyper-V Server - Gracefull showdowns of host

I have selected to shutdown host operating system in the options of each virtual machine.  That way when the VM host was rebooted all the guests are shut down. This works however I receive an error that the server was shutdown unexpectedly when I log back onto the quests.    Is this normal?    Is there a better way to do this or just ignore the error?

is it a 2008 server with a Hyper-v role, or did you install hyper-v and the hosts on the server ?

This can happen if the Integration services are not installed.

What is the OS of the guest system that gives you the error?
