Get maximum level of loading bar while extracting data from db

Im creating a windows application in which the data is extracting quick books.I want to use the loading bar for the time system is extracting data from quick books.How could i get the maximum limit of loading bar or time taken to extract the data.Please advice

    You need to find numerical measure that indicates progress. It could be numberofBytesDownloaded for file transfer application, number of files being copied for file transfer or backup program.

    Similarly, in your case it could be number of records / accounts that needs to be extracted. Say there are total 3000 records then backgroundworker reportProgress event you can check how many are extracted at point of time and display progress= currentExtrcated/Totalrecords.
