can not launch desktop manager

My personal recomendation would be to reinstall the Manager.

Or you can download it and unpack it to a location on your machine then point this window to where you unpacked it.

See if you can uninstall it and move to a higher version. V4.2 is pretty old (2007) and V6.x is out now.

I was doing some reading and one suggestion is to cancel everything and search your computer for the file that is prompting you for.  Manually run the MSI outside of the BB software and see if that helps.

I would also try doing a clean uninstall of the software, which can take an hour but will remove all registry entries and files related to the software that is not unisntalled through the built in uninstaller.
