Linked server conncetion error

Hi All,
I created a linked server from sql 2008 to sql 2000 server with a local login pn sql 2008 with impersonate to slq 2000 server.

but I'm gettgin this error when that ID I used there is trying to make connection using linked server to sql 2000.

Login failed for user '(null)'. Reason: Not associated with a trusted SQL Server connection.

how to fix this, can some one help me plz?

Please remove impersonate and add credentials in boxes.
