Outlook 2003 shuts down when closing an email

Hello, I have a user that is experiencing an issue with Outlook 2003.  When she closes an email message, Outlook also
closes.   She is closing it by clicking the "x" instead of doing the File, Close option.   It doesn't do this all the time.

Here are some troubleshoot steps I've taken:

1.)  Re-installed Outlook.
2.)  Deleted her profile and re-created it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Edgar

Sorry for late response.  User does not have the Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 desktop installed.

Have you personally watched her close the email on her computer?  Sounds like she might be clicking the "X" for Outlook and not closing just the one email.

Yes I have.  When she closes an email, it closes Outlook.

"Hide When Minimized" is uncheked and "Show An Envelope Icon in the Notification Area" is currently checked.  Anything else I can try?

Is she the only user that this happens to?  If yes, then maybe (unfortunately) she will need to have her OS reloaded then have Outlook reinstalled.  Wipe/reformat her hard disk.

It almost sounds like a conflict with some other type of current or past software.  Does she (or has she in the past) used any third party products that are not used by any other users?

Can she log onto another computer for a while to see if it happens on another computer?  If it does not re-occur on the other PC, then the above solution may be needed.

Best of luck.

I spent a fair amount of time trying to help and research this question.  Just because the answer was not what the author wanted to hear, it was still the correct answer and points should be awarded.

My apologies.  This is my first time using this site and I didn't realize about the points system.  Yes, you're answer is the correct answer.
