Launching an application after opening an Outlook message

I wasn't able to launch an application while opening an email through rules. Is it possible to do this through VBA. I want a program that stores outlook messages in a folder to launch when the user clicks to open a new email, not when the message arrives since a person could be away for a long time.

Is this possible.

    Accepted Solution

It is possible if you custom write an Extended Mapi application. If Outlook Redemption does not do this for you then you'll have to do it yourself.
