Some emails go missing in the sent items folder

I have a user that is running on Outlook 2007 and exchange 2007. He has a auto archive setup for his sent items folder. But for some reason, once in a while some email in the sent items goes missing.

we check the archive folders and they are not there. check the restore deleted items, not there.

Any ideas on where they could be.

Left click on Sent Items, Left click on Arranged By and uncheck show in groups. Do you see what you're looking for?

Also, try to use the Advanced Find to look for it in case where the index is corrupted.
