Sql Server 2005 SP4 fails with no errors in event log

I have tried the suggestions posted here in regards to SP4 failure, with no luck.  PSGETSID doesn't work for the local groups so I can not change the SID in the registry as one suggestion in the MS KB article suggested.  I have looked at the event logs and nothing is listed.  During the installation the Database services always fail and the last 3 like XML always pass.  This is the log from the SQL Install log C:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\90\Setup Bootstrap\LOG\Hotfix\SQL9_Hotfix_KB2463332_sqlrun_sql.msp

Server 2008 R2 Enterprise

Last year I had a problem with SQL Server 2008 SP1. I also downloaded from Microsoft.com but somehow the file came corrupted (I could install and everything but some files missed). I went to microsoft.com and downloaded it again and could saw that now the new file was much much bigger than the first one. Installed and was all fine.
Try to download again and compare file sizes.

Good luck

Thank you all for the comments.

It seems that the installer temp files in the c:\windows\installer directory were missing.  Using the below links I was able to replace these files and get the SP4 to install correctly.  I was able to determine what was missing using the scripts in the knowledge base below and then used the instructions from the blog listed below to copy them over.
