SQL 2008 log partition best practices

DEFclub used Ask the Experts™
Im going to deploy my first SQL 2008 box as a VM with attached iscsi SAN as storage. In the past, I would create a mirror partion for the SQL logs for sequental writes. Is that still a best practice for SQL 2008?

It's always good practice to create separate physical volume for log files to separate sequential writes. You can get better performance in 1+0 configuration but in case of less resources mirror may be sufficient.
