What webinar host providers you would recommend?<br />

Usually I would use a free online meeting for internal users, something like Mikogo or Skype, which required installation of a piece of software on each participating computer.<br />
<br />
For this project, however, I need to provide our Engineering and Service departments with a solution which has the following, or at least most of the following:<br />
<br />
- &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;is reliable and with acceptable speed to about 20 locations.<br />
- &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;can project a video of the presenter.<br />
- &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;does not require a software installation on customer’s computers receiving presentation.<br />
- &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;participants can ask questions either through voice or typing.<br />
- &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;is not necessarily free.<br />
- &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;works on different browsers.<br />

Hosting presentation over the web

Web conferencing describes various types of online collaborative services including web seminars ("webinars"), webcasts, and peer-level web meetings. In general, web conferencing is made possible by Internet technologies, particularly on TCP/IP connections. Services may allow real-time point-to-point communications as well as multicast communications from one sender to many receivers. It offers data streams of text-based messages, voice and video chat to be shared simultaneously, across geographically dispersed locations. Applications for web conferencing include meetings, training events, lectures, or presentations from a web-connected computer to other web-connected computers. Popular titles include GoToMeeting, Cisco WebEx, Microsoft Lync, TeamViewer and Skype.

Conferencing Software

A presentation program is a software package used to display information in the form of a slide show. It has three major functions: an editor that allows text to be inserted and formatted, a method for inserting and manipulating graphic images, and a slide-show system to display the content. Presentation program is supposed to help both the speaker with an easier access to his ideas and the participants with visual information which complements the talk.

Web browsers are applications used primarily to display documents, files and media from the Internet, identified by a Uniform Resource Identifier (URI) that can be a page, image, video or other file. Some browsers require the use of add-ons or extensions to safely render the information they receive; others have systems built into them to perform the same functions.
