Installing Exchange 2010 SP1 in Hosted Mode

I have 5 small customers that I host exchange for.  From what I understand Exchange 2010 supports a mulit-tenant environment which will allow me to put these 5 companies on the same exchange server.  Do I just install Exchange 2010 and then install SP1 in hosted mode after that?  I am curious what the process is.  I already have an exchange 2010 server up and running that doesn't have SP1 installed on it yet.  Can I just install SP1 in hosted mode on this server?  Thanks

Hi,

Exchange 2010 in hosted mode is a special installation you need to run the setup with the /hosting option, so you cannot use an existing installation.

Beside that there are some limitations, exchange in hosted mode had no management console, so you have to do everything via the management shell. Further there are some function that are not available see here: http://www.howexchangeworks.com/2010/10/installing-exchange-2010-sp1-in-hosting.html
or here : http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/exchange-2010-sp1-information-for-hosted-service-providers.aspx

here http://www.yusufozturk.info/exchange-server/hosted-exchange-2010-setup-guide-part-1.html is a very good installation guideline
