Unable to open Windows 2008 R2 firewall log - Access denied

I have enabled logging on a windows 2008 R2 server to help troubleshoot a problem. After disabling the logging and attempting to view the log file in Notepad (pfirewall under default path) I am receiving an "Access Denid" message.

I am logged in as a domain admin, and have tried running the firewall app as a local admin with the same result. I have tried access also with the fiewall switched off, and with the app closed to no avail.

Have you tried right clicking notepad, and 'running as administrator'?  Then using that notepad session to open the log?

(UAC in Windows 2008 is sometimes counter-intuitive for folks accustomed to 2003 and before... and I say that because it makes me crazy on occasion.  "What do you mean I don't have access!  I'm the ADMINSTRATOR!"   More information is available on UAC here - http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc709691%28WS.10%29.aspx  Like I said, it's a 'feature' that I beat my head against for a while.)
