Drive mapping to sharepoint document library

Hi, I have successfully created a drive mapping to a sharepoint share on my computer.  The problem is that the connection is dirt slow.  (The server is new, and is on the same network)  Does anyone know any way of speeding up the interaction between the drive share?

its nothing to do with SharePoint ,please check if you have network connectivity is stable.

also check does your server has sufficient RAM, If drive has huge data it may take much time to index data.
