EdgeTransport.exe high memory and CPU usage

The EdgeTransport.exe service is taking up all of my memory and about 90% of my CPU. I have 4GB of memory installed and from what I have read it should be fine.

I just need to know how to reduce this?

I have tried a few suggestions but nothing seems to work.

Thanks,
Tony

By design, exchange services, will use the maximum available memory. If any other application needs memory, Exchange release it automatically. According to MS 4GB is minimum requirement. I suggest you to increase meomory. Read below MS KB

If Exchange services are using memory, than you don't need to worry. It is by design.

Increasing the RAM will have no effect ,as By design, exchange services, will use the maximum available memory.

How would I know if it is an open relay?

I already have tcpip6 disabled.
go to www.mxtoolbox.com and run the SMTP test look for the open relay test results

It made a difference when I fixed the open relay on my cpu but the memory stayed the same as it should.

Thanks!
