connecting two servers. via a stored procedure.

I have to two DB Servers. One is SQL 2003 and the other is SQL 2008. They both run on the same network but on seperate boexs. I need to access from a stored procedure tables from each server. I am not sure how to do that. Any thoughts?

sure you can... on the server where you want to access other server ADD IT AS LINKED SERVER.

its pretty easy to add a SQL Server as a "Linked Server" (Google it).
You need to create Link Server between both sql box. Make sure to create link sever in source sql server.
Note: You will need SYSadmin previlage to create link server. (If you need help please respond)

There is not SQL Server 2003, I suspect you mean 2000 or 2005.

Please create Linked server first.
