Repair Administrator account

The Administrator account on the our 2008 SBS seems to have lost some privileges. For example when I to try to access Database Management the Exchange Management Console I don't have access to or see the database stores. If I create a new Administrator account and all the privileges I can access the database stores. My question is: How do I repair the original Administrator account back to original state?
