Yes, it do support but be sure your hardware is compatible to support floppy drive.

The hardware is compatible. The BIOS shows internal floppy selected. Is there another setting in Windows?

The problem is that Windows Server 2008 R2 or Windows 7 does not display drive A in Windows Explorer. Whereas  Windows XP Windows Explorer does display the floppy drive.  

To see the floppy drive one has to select computer in the menu.

The expert answer is correct but it did not solve the problem of where to find the floppy drive. If the Experts-exchange software would have allowed it, I would have split the points because my answer provides the additional information needed to cover the issue I was having-
