Microsoft Project Server 2010 customer dashboard and reports

I have a Sharepoint 2010 farm and am about to implement Project Server 2010.  As well as having a corporate intranet web app with Sharepoint, we want to have customer extranet web apps as well.  One of the things we want to do with Project is not only use it for our internal project management, but also to create dashboards and reports for our customers giving them a controlled view of where we are at.  Is this type of functionality readily available with Project Server and Sharepoint or will it require additional products or custom development?  

Also, should we host our Project Server web sites separately for each customer on their extranet web apps, or can we host it on our intranet and just publish dashboards and reports from the site to the different customers for their projects?  Thanks for the help!

Project server itself has a number of dashboards, and has built in security so that each customer can see their own projects. However it is expensive, especially as each external customer needs a project server cal.
Advantages of integrating is that you have one infrastructure and is cheaper, but your internal use may become degraded because some external customer decides to upload  CAD files to project server.
Performance Point for dashboards will provide you with the method of displaying the data to the customer, but it may require futher development depending upon how the data is stored, and the level of security required.
