Can't uninstall acrobat x

Wenmark used Ask the Experts™
I recently tried installing Adobe CS 5.5, (CS5 was installed previously) but the install failed with some registry access errors. I tried uninstalling it, but the uninstall failed uninstalling Acrobat Pro X. I then uninstalled all other adobe related programs successfully. Acrobat X still will not uninstal. Does anyone know how to manually uninstall acrobat x? I am very familiar with regedit.

If you Can,  do a system restore back to when cs5 was ok and fully uninstall all adobe starting with the reader then the cs5, reboot and then install cs55

You could try using the MSI cleanup utility from Microsoft then reinstalling.

MSI cleanup utility is no longer supported by Microsoft but you can get it at:
run the adobe cleaner tool that hould get rid of everything.
