What does " As Schemas" do in Visual Basic

atomicgs12 used Ask the Experts™
In Visual Basic I have seen where there is code like:

Imports Schemas

Dim dt As New Schemas.myDBLocal

What is Schemas? I don't see any good explanation in the 'help' files and or MDSN. What does the ". As New Schemas" do to 'dt'?

This might be under the System.Xml Framework for creating schemas and so on.

Also, if you use your Object Browser (F2) and search for the word "Schemas", you might find what you are looking for.  For example:

Public Function Schemas() As System.Collections.ICollection
     Member of System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaSet
Returns a collection of all the XML Schema definition language (XSD) schemas in the System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaSet.

Return Values:
An System.Collections.ICollection object containing all the schemas that have been added to the System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaSet. If no schemas have been added to the System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaSet, an empty System.Collections.ICollection object is returned.

Schemas seems to be a DLL in your project. It is probably the data access layer. Do you see it in your references?

Thanks to both of you. I realized it was part of the project about a minute after I published the question. I should have looked closer. I appreciate your comments.
