iE7 downloads mov files to quicktime rather than streaming them

I'm using Dreamweaver CS4 for a page that contains a link to a .mov file. It works fine on Safari and Firefox browsers, but iE7 won't stream it, insists on downloading it entirely before playing it. Quicktime ver 7.6.8 preference is set to" Enable Instant On" and "Play Stream Immediately"

Dumb me - needed XP service pack 3. Since i've switched to mac I only use my windows machine to verify that my Dreamweaver sites work OK with Explorer 7 so haven' t paid attention to MS updates.
