I installed an Exchange account on a IPHONE and it works OK

However whan I delete a mail from the IPHONE it is also deleted form the Exchange Mailbox
(and the opposite too)

Is there a way that I can delete mails from the IPHONE and keep them in the Exchange mailbox ?
Where can I configure this ?

THank you

Exchange connection in iPhone is an ActiveSync type of connection.  If you delete on the Phone it will delete (sync) on the Exchange mailbox.

Change your iPhone mail setup to POP3.  Not as nice, but when you delete mail from the Phone it will not delete from Exchange.

POP3 has limitations too, you will probably want to stay with Exchange ActiveSync.

CHAKKO is correct, however, you may not be able to connect to your exchange server via POP3. This is highly dependant on how your Exchange administrator has the server setup.

That being said, an alternative to deleting on the iPhone, would be to set up a folder to move the emails into. This would allow you to remove the email from the main inbox but still have the email available when you need it in outlook.
