Do you have folders in your Archive to receive the email being archived? Every once in a while I find a the mail in a folder of my main PST file has not been archived. I then find the folder in the archive.pst file does not exist. So I create the folder. .... Thinkpads_User<br />

Thanks. Try removing rules related in any way to archiving and see if then the emails move. I used archiving on Outlook 2003, 2007 and now 2010. I have no rules and the archiving always works (noting the odd exception above that I have fixed). .... Thinkpads_User<br />

I disabled all rules but still these messages are not moved by the archive function. Thanks for tips and I am waiting for more :)

There was a patch to Outlook 2007 that affected autoarchiving. See this article and see if it might apply:<br />

Also, another article I saw suggested the possiblity of a second archive file (say archive1.pst) in error and the emails going to a second archive. This does not seem likely because the emails in your main PST are still there. <br />

I executed archivisation on my personal folders, selected items older than 1 Jan 2010, and selected all items (including those manually excluded from archivisation) and selected subfolders.<br />
After the process is finished there are still some messages from 2008 and 2009 in my personal folders which have not been moved to archive.<br />
why these messages were not archived, although they are from 2008 or 2009?<br />
how can I fix it?<br />
