Well i don't know what this message is causing. But did this message occur after a fresh install or on a running server?  Did you check the logs if the message appears just while booting or in a regular manner? Do you have the latest updates on your Ubuntu Server? Did you check the hardware with some hardware check program? If you have time you could use a new HDD with a fresh install of Ubuntu to see if this error still occurs? You could also make a backup of your system and update your Ubuntu to 10.0.4 LTS since this error could be kernel based?t

these are just suggestions no real masterplan.

NMI" is a Non-Maskable-Interrupt.
It seems that your PE SC 420 has some memory related issue.

Possible solution (do it by order, if works, then don't bother for the rest):
1. Upgrade the BIOS
2. shut down system and re-seat memory modules.
3. Pull memory one-by-one to see which memory module causes the problem.
If you just have one memory module, then you need to replace the memory (DDR2 with ECC).
