You need to verify that your certificate have the name that you use like public domain name for your clients.

Maybe you need to change your certificate principal name for connections for outlook.

Run this command (changing EXCHSERVER to your Exchange server's real name)

Get-OutlookProvider -Identity EXCHSERVER | fl

Look at the values for certprinciplename. If that is set to the wrong URL you will need to correct it.

Set-OutlookProvider -identity EXCHSERVER -CertPrincipalname msstd:domain.com

However ideally I would be looking to change the common name on the certificate.

Yes the reason ur facing this issue is because you dont have FQDN of the server in the certificate

you will have to change the URL to match the external one that is present in the certificate

please use microsoft KB 940726 to resolve ur issue

for what ? autodiscover ? mail?  whats is the name appear on the error message ( in the top left).
mostly it must be as i mentioned the FQDN of the server ..
