Word 2007 Error with Online Plug-in: Word could not create the work file. Check the Temp environment variable

Hello -

Running Fundamentals 3.0. This environment has been up for a few days now and just noticed this problem. If I launch Word using the plug-in, I receive the error "Word could not create the work file. Check the Temp environment variable". It happens with all the users I have tested. However, if I open their Citrix Desktop first and leave it open, Word opens from the plug-in without any problems.

I've found a few articles with the error, but they are specifically related to folder redirection, etc. for regular Windows sessions. It does seem to be profile related. As a side note, I am using Immidio Flex Profiles.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks...

Have you looked at this:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2027053
The variable is referring to is the location of the Cache variable which is normally pointing to your Temporary Internet Files folder. Currently it is referring to a place which doesn’t exist.

In order to reset this location, you’ll need to go through the Registry;

Key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders
Value name: Cache
Value type: REG_EXPAND_SZ

By default the Value should point to;

Windows XP
%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files
Windows Vista and Windows 7
%USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Temporary Internet File
