GAL on Outlook 2007 with Exchange 2010 shows local location

I recently moved all users to a new domain and new Exchange server (Exchange 2010). All of the clients are using Outlook 2007. Currently, all but one client are not displaying the correct contacts in the Global Address List. If I switch to online versus cached mode it shows the proper list. If I go to:

Tools > Address Book > Tools > Options and select the Global Address List and select properties it shows:

Microsoft Exchange Address Book Provider - The current server is:
C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\

And it should be: SERVERNAME.DOMAIN.local

I have looked into a way to change this and tried adding the "DS Server" string in the registry but it did not make a difference. I need to resolve this ASAP so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Try delete all .oab files from the C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\ folder.

After that choose in outlook Tools menu, Send/Receive, and then Download Address Book.

I tried this and downloaded the address book but unfortunately it resulted in the exact same issue. Any other thoughts?

Did you get an error when downloading the addressbook, or are there any sync issues in outlook?

Also look in the exchange server event log if there are errors for OAB

I am not seeing any errors on the client when downloading the address book either in the Send Receive details nor event viewer. I am also seeing no related synch errors on the Exchange server. i manually updated the OAB on the Exchange server and modified the update schedule for twice daily. Still no luck on the clients except for one client. If I put them in Online mode it works fine but Cached mode does not, even after deleting all .OAB files. This is just a strange issue that i have never seen!
