Can someone help me to install wordpress on my laptop pls?
Hello Expert, I am trying to install wordpress on my laptop , just use it and then see if I am going to carry on using it, now I gt a book where it says I need to do lots of things to install , it says I can install on a server or on my local pc, I need to install it on my pc first , I just need help with that but I rather to watch video or pic of installation , not words pls , and my understanding i should be a ble to build my website , but unable to publish it unless I gt someone to host my site , is this correct ?

Yes. You should be able to view the site by going to http://localhost/ in your browser.

You will need a web host that supports PHP and MySQL, yes. But why not make your life easy and just open a WordPress.com account and let them worry about the hosting issues?

Jason: Why not let wordpress host because it says clearly wordpress will not allow you to do advert on your site , also they will own your themes as well , for that reason I will look for someone to host once I am done , if U can recomend someone pls do ? I am starting news sites so its a hell of work .
Okay, sure. I didn't know if this was a commercial site or a personal project or what.
For self-hosting, I recommend Dreamhost. It's cheap and they have a one-button WordPress deployment that works well.

All the "Bitnami thing" is is an executable that installs and configures Apache, PHP, MySQL and a base copy of WordPress. At the end, it should launch your browser and connect you to WordPress's install:
http://localhost:8080/wp-admin/install.php

Cool , yes I am concern with wordpress only to build my website , installation is done , but can not see a short cut like any program or under programs un win7 just to launch wordpress and start using it , any idea pls , I am realy sorry askking too many Q.
