Cannot E-mail Outside of my Domain

I'm able to send and receive e-mail from the email address that is within my domain.  I can also receive e-mail from people outside of my domain.  My problem is when I try to email anyone outside of my domain it never arrives.  I then find it in my mail queue manager within WHM.  Any suggestions?

I'm on CentOS with cpanel/whm.  I'm not sure what mail server it uses.

Have you got SMTP Authentication enabled in your mail client?

Tried sending mail out using webmail?

For some reason all of a sudden all the mail is now delivered and process is working.  Should I turn on smtp authentication within my cpanel along with the domain key for any reason?

Ok, thanks for the answers.  I messed up on one description though.  It wasn't smtp authentication it's called domain keys and SPF.  Should SPF be turned on?
