How do I create a custom layout for a scrollbar?

I am coding a wordpress website, with the help of a graphical designer. The design I received included a calendar with a custom layout for the scrollbar (se attached image). What would be the easiest way for me to achieve this layout?

The only "standard" customization when it comes to scrollbars, I've found, only changes basic things like the color - but not he actual look of the scrollbar item, and the vertical look.

I guess this could be done with Flash for example (which I am not good at..), but I don't that would be a good solution, as this is a calendar function, which has to work with one of WordPress many calendar plugins.  image of custom scrollbar

Flash is pretty much the only way to get exactly that.  But there are some CSS ways to create custom scrollbars:

Also understand that a lot of graphic designers don't have to implement their design on a working page :)

You can create scroll bars with jQuery (javascript)

(Note that those are jQuery "plugins" not Wordpress plugins)

Thanks alot for the help!

Both alternatives look interesting. I am not in a position to begin testing with them right now, but I am sure that some of the plugins will work!
