Are you running the setup as administrator?
Are you sure the installer isn't corrupt?

Yes i'm running setup as Administrator. The installer isn't corrupt at all. I have just ran a small application called brava reader and it installed correctly , i could see the graphics while installing it. i have now just downloaded Exchange SP3 and ran it , it shows the same problem as with SP2. On another server with the same spec the SP's show images correctly.
Try this - regsvr32.exe jscript.dll

then run the upgrade again

or do this after the regsvr

open elevated cmd, and navigate to the setup folder, run setup from cmd

Well done!
just out of curiousity, which one did it for you?
and no problem:)

I went for this one:

regsvr32.exe jscript.dll

I ran CMD as administrator and ran the command... immediately ran the upgrade. It opened instantly.
ok thanks ;-)
