Does the keyboard work before Windows is loaded? &nbsp;For example in the BIOS? &nbsp;<br />

It isn't clear from your question but have you tried the keyboard and the mouse seperately? &nbsp;(not plugging both in at the same time)<br />

You might want to run &quot;sfc /scannow&quot; to check for corrupt system files too.<br />

Yes they were working perfectly fine, no when I enter the setup they won't work in BIOS, &nbsp;yes I have tried em both in at the same time and separately. I have tried different USB ports and got the same problem however as I mentioned the USB memory stick works on each and every USB port. I'm trying the sfc /scannow command now and I will post the results soon. Thanks

Check the USB settings in your BIOS. Some have options where you can change the behavior of how USB should work, and one possible such behavior is to be able to disable Human Input devices.<br />

I tried all the suggestions however none of them work for me. I tried running mini XP via usb memory stick it resolved the issue when I got back in win 7.

I'm having some problems with one of our developer's laptop. when we connect a USB mouse and keyboard it won't recognize them however when I hook a USB Memory stick it recognizes it immediately. I have tried the same keyboard and mouse with a different laptop they work just fine and I tried working and different brand mouse and keyboard with the HP 2230s and it failed loading the USB drives. <br />
So far I tried installing the Intel Chipset and did a system restore but none of them work. Any idea as how I can resolve this issue?<br />
