Symantec Endpoint Protection file cache size

MarcosBarroso used Ask the Experts™
SEP has default configuration of 10,000 files in "file cache size". This cache tries to avoid check again recently checked files. The file cache has a ceiling of 65,000 files.

I am thinking in change from 10,000 to 65,000, in this configuration parameter...

Is there a downside to a higher file cache other than some loss in disk space?

Not from my experience. There is no added risk since the file is initially scanned before being placed in cache, and it will be rescanned if changed or new definitions arrive (if you have that option turned on).
