How can I shut down the Indexer task?
I have loaded extra Indexer tasks via a server document and now I want to shut them down. How can I do that? I have tried "tell indexer quit " and "tell updall quit", but they don't seem to have any effect. I know that I can change the server document and restart the server, but I would like to know if there is a different solution.

Alternatively using the Administrator client you can took at the server tasks view and see what tasks, and how many instances, are running. From that window you can end tasks.
