HOW TO VIEW ALERTS SENT TO ANOTHER COMPUTER ON THE NETWORK

I am studying 70-290 exam and am trying to configure an alert to be sent to another computer. I can configure the alert and view it in event viewer on that computer when the event triggers, but I also selected "send a network message to", and entered the ip address of another computer. The triggered event does not show up in event viewer on the other computer, so where do I view the event on the remote computer if it does not go to event viewer?

Have you studied about event subscriptions and Windows Event Collector?

My official MS study guides and training kit do not have one word about such functions, but the link is the answer I was looking for. MS may consider them to be outside of the scope of the 70-290 exam. thanks

YES. MS assumes that you have the knowledge of Win 7 (70-682) or Vista (70-622) when you attempt 70-290 exam.
