what printer driver is she using? Sometimes the postscript driver works best.

The HP drivers for Win7 lists:
1 - HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 x64 5.2.6, 18 Feb 2011 15.9 56K: 38m, 512K: 4m
2 - HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PostScript X64 5.2.6, 18 Feb 2011 16.6 56K: 40m, 512K: 4m
3 - HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL5 x64 5.2.6, 18 Feb 2011 15.5 56K: 37m, 512K: 4m

So maybe try the postscript driver first.

How is the printer setup, with an IP address?

you can also test the printer on another PC, to be sure it is still working correct
i assume it is not caused by a bad connection?

The print stream is being corrupted; the reason for a corrupt print stream could be:

(a) A badly written, or corrupt printer driver.

This is more likely to be the case if the error, or bad output, is consistently exactly the same for the same input (i.e. the same document, within the same application, being printed again via the same driver).

As you state that "... at times if you reprint it will print the same doc fine ...", a bad driver is thus unlikely to be the cause.

(b) Corruptions are being introduced between the PC and the printer (for example: bad cable, connection, port, network, etc.).

This is much more likely to be the case if the errors are intermittent and apparently random.

(c) A fault within the printer itself.

Probably much less common - usually (but not only) if Jetdirect card is bad.

.. ... a parallet to usb  ...

Many of these converters are known to cause issues.

A printer is a peripheral which makes a persistent human readable representation of graphics or text on paper or similar physical media. Traditional printers are being used more for special purposes, like printing photographs or artwork, and are no longer a must-have peripheral; 3D printing has become an area of intense interest, allowing the creation of physical objects. An image scanner is a device that optically scans images, printed text, handwriting, or an object, and converts it to a digital image. Hand-held scanners, where the device is moved by hand, have evolved from text scanning "wands" to 3D scanners used for industrial design, reverse engineering, test and measurement, orthotics, gaming and other applications.
