Hey guys,
My organization has a paging system that uses pocsag or golay sequential format (info I got from I.T.). I'm not familiar with the technology.

How difficult would it be for someone to hack into the data transmissions to pagers and acquire the data?

as per the Wikipedia article at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/POCSAG, it seems that POCSAG has no means to secure information, though the protocol does use some sort of decoding technique to convert ASCII/BCD codes for efficiency concerns.

FYI - an Australian company provides free intercepting software to decode POCSAG messages in the air.
