Hi,

I would appreciate if can get step - step help for creating a SSH keys for SCP between 2 Unix Solaris servers.

Both the servers have the following under /home/user/.ssh

ssh-keygen -t (rsa1|rsa|dsa)
This will generate the three types of keys, (not sure whether AES is making its rounds) And set a passphrase if you choose.

copy the indentity.pub, id_rsa.pub and id_dsa.pub should be copied into the remote authorized_keys.
Note each key is a single line entry.

This deals with the ssh version 1 which is rarer (due to security issues) and ssh version 2.

This deals with the setup, you need to make sure that /etc/ssh/sshd_config includes
RSAAuthentication yes
PubkeyAuthentication yes
