Proper procedure to mount Exchange 2007 defragged db
Hello experts.
I need to know the proper procedure to properly mount a db after doing an offline defrag. The temp DB (defraged db) was created on the F:\ instead of the original E:\ for lack of space on E:\
There is the default storage group, "First Storage Group" which I can add a "new" database to, but the db is 132 gb and I dont want to add a "new" db to this storage group because I am not sure if it will simply overwrite the newly defragged hd or not.
Can I leave the new DB in place on F:, leave the old db on E: unmounted (at startup as well), and then mount the db on F:? Is there anything else I need to do after the mount..like correct user paths, etc?
Please advise.
