Examples of companies distributing audio files in a zipped format

I've got a client who's a little gun shy on offering mp3 files in a zipped format simply because they're thinking more in terms of iTunes and Amazon etc.

I've encouraged them to use a zipped format just because of the way in which the download process becomes so much more intuitive. While they're open to that, they want to see some examples and I thought I would run this up the flagpole because, honestly, apart from things I've built for small businesses, I can't think of anything. When it comes to audio files, I'm iTunes and that's it.

So, can anybody point me to a vendor that distributes audio files in a zipped format so I can demonstrate that this is a viable approach or am I barking up the wrong tree?

What do you think?

Haven't seen it and I wouldn't do it.  People are used to MP3s, making them zipped will confuse the masses.

OK. How do I need to it, then? They're looking at either iTunes or amazon which is appropriate given the fact that they're the industry standard(s), but those aren't web apps as much as they are standalone applications. So, in this instance, they want to click on a button that downloads 5 individual mp3s and a video file. How would I do this if I don't zip everything up in one file with one link?

I've been to amazon. By "mp3 downloads" are you talking about zipped files, 'cause I didn't see that. I used their "cloud" palyer.

Ok, I was unwilling to buy anything from them.  It just says MP3 downloads, I saw nothing about zip files.

Hey, Dave!

Never mind. I went out to CD Baby and I was able to take a screen shot of what they're doing which is a zip file. They do address your concern, however, by providing a page worth of instructions that explain how to unzip the file, provided you've purchased an album. So, that said, I've got the example that I need and I appreciate your feedback!

Glad you got it figured and that's good to know.  Thanks.
