VM lost after failed migration inot Library

When storing a VM in the Library from a remote host the jobe fails:

Error (2912)
An internal error has occurred trying to contact an agent on the VMserver1 server.
 (Element not found (0x80070490))

Recommended Action
Ensure the agent is installed and running. Ensure the WS-Management service is installed and running, then restart the agent.

Looking for a resolution I found:

http://blogs.technet.com/b/scvmm/archive/2010/02/17/error-2912-when-a-virtual-machine-manager-2008-operation-fails-due-to-a-certificate-issue-element-not-found-0x80070490.aspx

This talks about basically resetting the certificates.

Now the real bad part is after the failed migration to the library the VM files are no longer on the former host and they are not on the VM library either. Basically the machine idisappears and I was not able to recover it with any of the repair options in VMM.

Anybody has any idea how to recover the "lost" VM?

I am not sure if you have recovered the situation or moved on.
Just in case, review the folder structure where you had stored the vm.
It may not appear in the scvvm view, but may be on the storage still.

Features included Linux guest operating system support, Virtual Disk Precompactor, symmetric multiprocessing (SMP), x64 host operating system support, the ability to mount virtual hard drives on the host machine and additional operating systems support, including Windows Vista, and a volume shadow copy writer.
