Assign Sharepoint task to user from Infopath form
Hi!
I'm using the meeting agenda template supplied with Infopath and would like to have infopath assign sharepoint tasks to specific users.
Basicly I would like to assign a Sharepoint task to the user I select in the form. The "select user" drop down box is populated with information from Sharepoint.
I guess I have to create an action of some sort that submits data to sharepoint? We're using Sharepoint 2010 and InfoPath 2010.
Thanks :)

Thanks for your reply. This would solve the problem partially.
The remaining issue is the fact that we use a repeating table for follow-up-actions in the form. This means there might 1 or multiple tasks to assign depending on the numer of follow-up-actions required after a meeting is held.
The suggested solution might not work in such a scenario?

When you go to select to publish your infopath to sharepoint, the last step is to select what columns to appear in your sharepoint library. Select your people picker cells. Then create a workflow with sharepoint designer 2010 setting it to start when new item is created, and the action to "Start Custom Task Process". It behaves like the option on a task list to send mail to "Assigned to".
