SQL Backup

Hi,
I am using sql 2005,I run this file daily "Backup Procedure.sql" to take a backup, once i run this file sql management studio will open there i click on execute..then backup will happen.
I would like to know, is there any log file created for sql backup and where those logs stored.

Thanks in advance

Moreover if you are using Litespeed to take backup, there are separate set of tables for Litespeed (created in msdb only) that would have complete information about backups taken like name of backup file, size of backup and timestamp of backup etc.

the sql server logs under Management->server logs
have entries for your backup.
