I am trying to figure out how to configure a 2008 server which by the way is the PDC emulator.
I would like to get everything on the same time.
When I enter net time in the cmd prompt it points to Server2. Server 2 used to be the PDC and is running 2003 server.
Will this affect anything if I change it to the 2008 server?
Windows Server 2008

need to know how many servers are you working with.
from the sounds of it. it looks like 2.
server 1 = 2008
server 2 = 2003
point the 2008 server to a national time server ( i personaly use. time-b.nist.gov the first couple seemed to be always buisy)
server 1 hosts the pdc and is the root for time for all servers
point server 2 to server 1 to maintain time
having the correct time on all servers is critical for replication. having the time be off will have replication issues
MECIT
ASKER
I have a total of 22 servers.
I have 3 domain controllers.
How would I point to the national time server?
I read that I should select a national time server that is close to use, is there a website to choose from?
How would I point server2 to server 1?
