Exchange 2007 rejecting an email even though it is valid

Ok, guys, I'm a first time post-er here so I apologize in advance if more information is needed to answer this question.

I'm running Exchange Server 2007. I have 40 or so email accounts that are operate just fine sending and receiving email. One account, however, will send email out but cannot receive external email. Again, all other accounts are fully operational. When sending to this one address the following error is sent back to the sender (this one was sent from gmail.com to fbckeller.org):

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

    [email address]

Technical details of permanent failure:
Google tried to deliver your message, but it was rejected by the recipient domain. We recommend contacting the other email provider for further information about the cause of this error. The error that the other server returned was: 550 550 5.1.1 User unknown (state 14).

I've checked that the "properties" of this account and other accounts match in Exchange console. I've verified that the account is configured properly in AD. I've even deleted and recreated the account to see if some kind of glitch may have happened in setup.

I admit that I am not greatly experienced with Exchange, but I've checked everything I know to check. Of the 40 email addresses we have, I've personally setup 15 of them (the rest were here when I was hired), and I've followed the same process for each one.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

We use Symantec Mail Security for Exchange. I've never had to "sync" it before so I'm not entirely sure how/where to do that. I've been through all of the menu options and don't see anything like that. I've just restarted all servers (again) to see if, by chance, that would do it; it did not. Still not sure what could be causing the hang up with this one address.

check the header information and see from which server it is getting rejected. That might give you the lead

Hi fbckeller,

Thanks for the points. Secondly, if you read Post ID 35793634. I suspected the sync issue, i didn't know you have edge also. But it is good you were able to figure out the issue.

Let me know if you need any further help.

Expert comment was not the actual solution, but it did help me get there by starting to think that some sort of "syncing" might be the issue. It turns out that the issue was between the 2 components of Exchange 2007 (Edge & Hub). I eventually came to the conclusion on my own.
