sharepoint designer

Hi. New using sharepoint designer 2007 and on a view i had a style of shading. I wanted to add some custom row formatting on rows in a list so i made the changes in designer but then the shading was lost on the web page. Is there a way to keep both? If so what is the setting in designer?

ASKER

I had to alternate the rows and apply background in addition to my row rule. When i logged out of designer and back in I do not see my conditional rules. Where can i find them to edit them?
