buying academic license for office 2010 professional

Hi all,
Selecting the best suitable license from Microsoft looks like a daunting task for someone who is not familiar with the licensing terms and conditions.
We are trying to find a cheaper solution for an academic institute with about 100 computers, 50 faculty members and about 500 students.
What is the best licensing solution for us?
I've seen office 2010 pro plus as cheap as $15 when using Microsoft home use program. How can an organization register for it, so that employees can use the benefits?

I tried the License advisor as well, but am not sure of the outcome.
I'd be really grateful if you could explain all the details. And please dont just give me links to microsoft sites! Explain also  :)

THis is probably what you are looking for
http://www.microsoft.com/licensing/about-licensing/office2010.aspx

has all info about licensing....now, depending on your needs, you may want to speak to one of Microsoft's representative/partners/resellers for more info.
Note that even though you state that you are an academic institute with about 100 computers, 50 faculty members and about 500 students you would have to buy licences per machine, not users.

Now, you will have to check ACADEMIC licenses (if you fulfill Microsoft's criteria) and that is quite cheaper than commercial purchases.

Try the wizard for the License advisor
